OSCAST is back and under new management! Erm..well sorta. The show returns with a new name and a new cohost, 3D BLAST. Today on our 'premiere' episode, OSCOB sits down with long time producer and vapor-dad Nmesh. We discuss his extensive discography of work, and a few speed bumps he has run into over the last year. Enjoy!

RPG Tinker is a tool for building NPCs for D&D 5e. Here you can choose a template, abilities scores, and hitdices. With that we generate an NPC ready to use in battle! You can even print/pdf it! The tool is under construction and receiving new features each day. It probably has some (or many) errors in it. Help improving it by giving your feedback!

I know this album isn't 'underrated' and is in a few essential infographs but I feel like it doesn't get mentioned enough when people talk about vaporwave classics. It's an absolute masterpiece of an album. Never have I heard an album perfectly convey the world of dreams. You have the gentle wave of synths conveying the dreaminess and then the samples that seem out of place but with the concept of dreams in mind, that's how dreams are. Dreams are pretty damn random. Every single sample is at the right place at the right time. And the imagery some songs convey cannot be explained but they're surreal as heck. The ambient tracks are some of the most hypnotic and blissful experiences I've had in a while ('The Gull Wing Doors Of Perception' and 'DΞΞP COMΛ™ SKKY Diving'). The droning ambience along with the myriads of samples playing fits so perfectly with the dreaminess and surrealism.
'KΞΞP/////THIS/////' might be my favorite vaporwave song of all time. Nothing prepared me for the first time I listened to it. The beautiful imagery of a utopian world of the future, that flute, and the perfect use of the Selena song. Absolutely gorgeous and there are also many beautiful moments littered through the whole album (like the tennis match in 'Irregularly Scheduled Programming' and the children playing with crickets in the background on 'NΞΘN DRΞΛMS INFINITY'), moments that come and go quickly if you don't pay close attention, again, much like dreams.
I only have one small gripe and that is the closing track (on the cassette, it is untitled but digitally it is with 'The Unconcious Connection'). Let's just say I totally did not expect a monolith of an album to end with a parody of theneedledrop's Floral Shoppe review. It caught me way off guard. It was funny for a time but the ambiance in the background sounded too beautiful to be distracted from Fantano's droning pitched down voice. It's not that big of a deal, maybe it'll grow on me but I just want to hear those beautiful synths.
Anyway, this is the album that makes me glad that I discovered vaporwave. I've listened to tons of albums from across many genres and this album solidifies that vaporwave is an actual genre, it's not just a joke. An amazing genre that is.
So what do you think of it? Are there similar albums to this?
